The purpose of The 500, Inc., is to support arts organizations of Dallas County.  In our nearly 5 decades of existence, over $12,000,000.00 has been donated to over 40 different arts organizations.  Among other things, to be eligible to receive a grant from The 500, Inc., an art group must be a tax-exempt organization that has operated in Dallas County for at least two (2) years, and must stage performances or exhibit works that are open to the general public.  Grant Applications and Guidelines may be found on the Grant Application drop down.  The deadline for applying is usually in April, exact date is announced sometime in late February or early March.  Recipients are announced early July and Grants are given out at the annual meeting in late July of each year.
